FYI: Posts will be sparse around here until I replace my laptop.... Coming back to work after Christmas break apparently was too hard and it quit on me!

The Unfailing Promises of God - a thankful thursday

404: life -- full of abounding joy!

405: family -- whole & complete
Please be praying for a family who lost their eight year old little boy during the storm on Monday. He was hit by a falling tree limb. I taught his class at Church on Thursday nights last year and he played soccer with my brother--so hard to believe that he's gone.  But we know he's in the arms of his Heavenly Father.

406: Singing "I Love My Lips" VeggieTales silly song with Titus while cooking supper...Ten days after I turned 8, Got my lips stuck in a gate, My friends all laughed…And I just stood there until the fire department came and broke the lock with a crowbar and I had to spend the next six weeks in lip rehab with this kid named Oscar who got stung by a bee right on the lip and we couldn't even talk to each other until the fifth week because both our lips were so swollen and when he did start speaking he just spoke polish and I only knew like three words in polish except now I know four because Oscar taught me the word for lip, “Usta!”

407: a home overflowing with music -- constantly -- someone is always playing or singing =)

408: the promises of God's unfailing love Psalm 103

Saturday's Scrawls 3

1.) I got my purity ring back! (It was at the jewelers because the stone came loose.)  Let me tell you my hand was feeling very strange not having it for several weeks--and I had only had it for two months. =) (To read the story of my ring and a few more photos go [here]. =D)
This was it before I had it shipped away--it is much shinier now, they must have cleaned it! =P
2.) Prayer request. Please pray for my friend, Kara.  She is head of the barn staff at the camp where I worked last summer. This past week she was kicked in the face. She has 4 fractures on the right side of her face.  She is having surgery this Monday at 5pm. She has to have 2-3 plates put in.
She is staying strong through it all and recently posted Psalms 121:7-8:

"The LORD will protect you from harm; He will protect your life. The LORD will protect your coming and going both now and forever."

3.) BIC Velocity pencils--one word: awesomely amazing! Okay, that was two, but they really are awesomely amazing and amazingly awesome. =P

(now if only they would stop disappearing on me...do pencils ever disappear at your house? 'cause it is a very common, but terrible occurrence here...)

4.) Four Polyvore sets of mine from this past week =P

5.)
God of Wonders
by third day

Lord of Heaven and Earth
(Lord of all creation)
Lord of Heaven and Earth

Lord of all creation
Of the water, earth and sky
The Heavens are your Tabernacle
Glory To the Lord on high

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Early in the morning
I will celebrate the light
And when I stumble into darkness
I will call your name by night

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy
The universe
Declares your majesty
You are holy, holy

Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)

Holy, holy
Holy, holy

God of wonders
Beyond our galaxy
You are holy, holy

Precious Lord,
Reveal your heart to me
Father hold me, hold me

The Universe
Declares your majesty
You are Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy

Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)
Hallelujah (to the lord of heaven and earth)

Now I'd better get back to work...
Have a wonderful day!

Love in Christ,

Standing in the Gap

"I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found none."
-Ezekiel 22:30

--------------------------{do not read beyond this point until you have watched the above}----------------------
----------------------------------------------------{and I mean it Stanley*}--------------------------------------------------
This is an amazing video!  I really cannot add anything of importance after it. I came across it today at Lauren Nicole's blog A Smile and a Song.
A couple years ago an awesome prayer warrior in our Church taught this lesson to my group.  It is an awesome reminder of how we need to stand in the gap through prayer for others.  Just like Jesus Christ has interceded for us, we need to intercede for those who do not know Him as their personal savior.  (I'm not saying that we can take Jesus's place in their lives, just that we need to become more like Christ and follow His example in interceding for them.)
Last Saturday I had the opportunity to attend a Wycliffe Banquet at my Church.  The speakers shared about their experiences in Papua New Guinea as they assisted Bible translators there.  They also shared about their Vision 2025.  So if you are looking for something to pray for here is your opportunity! I would also suggest checking out their blog where they post daily with praises and prayer requests.
It is my challenge to you to pray for this project and stand in the gap for these people who do not have the Bible in their language. (do let me know if you decide to do this so that we can encourage and keep each other in prayer)

God Bless and have a fantastic day!

In Christ Alone,

*(to those of you who didn't get it go read ...And I mean it, Stanley by Crosby Bonsall after you're done reading this) =P
